E-learning often leads to e-tumbleweeds…
During the roll call at the start of class I get the students to answer with a word that begins with the same letter as their name.
Setting up of Channels on teams for group work. Lends itself to grouping by ability. Important to switch the teams up regularly as students may not want to be “locked” into a group.
More emphasis on “flipped learning”. Students watch video or research a topic at home so inschool and online learning is more discussion and questioning.
Blended group learning ( again via Channels). Students at home and in school. Emphasis on cameras on for group work.
Buddy channel . Stronger students who finish sooner can help other students in a channel.
Greater use of loom videos to explain/ extend/ consolidate topics. Students self-manage to go and find videos in their Team/Channel.
Separate channels for focus on #ATL skills. Students who finish before others can go and do extension work there
The ability to build-in NEW language rubric to Assignments.
Use of Edpuzzle/ Nearpod/ Peardeck / Flipgrid
